Nirah Tanghe (2007). A young artist born on 8 november who grew up in Asse Belgium.
She decided at 12 years old to study in Sint-Lukas Kunsthumaniora in brussel, where she
grew her passion and culuture for art over 6 years and ended her studies in Vrije Kunsten
(Fine Arts).
She is a multimedia artist, who’s strenght are in traditional art and painting.
She loves using the nuance of black and white to express her feelings.
Recently she found interest in high fashion and wants to study it more deeply.

this work undersolid the tension between the contrasts dark versus goose, raw and chic, hard and fragile . From a dark, almost mystical perspective, I combine materials like gray/black plastic and sturdy aluminium tape. The plastic represesents strenght and refinement, while silver, for me is not only a chic material but also a reference to the aesthetic of knights: shiny, protective and timeless. the contrast between these elements- the matte and glossy, the rough and the refined- forms the core of this work.
These contrasts create an image that is both menacing and aesthetic. Both Dark and Light.
